Carl is mov­ing back to Ger­many for a year.  He’ll be leav­ing at the end of October/beginning of Novem­ber.  I’m thrilled for him, because it is such a great oppor­tu­ni­ty and it will be so won­der­ful for his career, but I don’t like the thought of being apart for a whole year.  We’ll get to see each oth­er every few months, and I guess that will have to do.  I’ll miss him.
