Rachel Joi
I’m Rachel Joi Kibler! I’m a Senior Quality Engineer, international keynote speaker, and systems thinker who helps teams build better software.
I’ve spent the last ten years testing complex systems across healthcare, e-commerce, banking, and logistics, from mobile apps to warehouse fulfillment integrations. I speak at conferences worldwide about AI in testing, cognitive bias, systems thinking, and how to lead without authority.
work
I’m currently Senior Quality Engineer at SeekWell (1-800 Contacts), where I lead quality practices, develop training curricula, and have tested everything from eye exams to warehouse fulfillment systems. I also serve as QE Community Lead, publishing a biweekly newsletter and standardizing testing practices across the organization.
speaking
I deliver keynotes and workshops at international testing conferences on topics like AI in testing, real-world edge cases, cognitive bias, and leadership as an individual contributor. Recent appearances include Agile Testing Days (Potsdam), TestCoast (Gothenburg), Testing Portugal, and CAST.
blog
I write about testing, systems thinking, and the gap between how we think software works and how it actually behaves. Occasionally I also write about board games, music, and other things that aren’t software.
portfolio
I have my own philosophy on testing and quality, and I am creating examples of my work. This is still a work in progress, as I am always learning and developing my skills.
